Visibility of unsaved changes to oa data

I assume this is not possible but I will ask any to be sure.

If I make a change to a cell view using oaScript,  so for example, I rename an instance.

my_instance.setName('foo_bar')

Is it possible to observe that change in Virtuoso before the change is saved in oaScript?

Maybe there is a skill function I can call to have cadence notice the change?

I am also assuming the opposite is also not possible,  observing a change in oaScript made in Virtuoso before the change is saved in Virtuoso?
