hierarchy path to shape for lntAddTrace

I want to use the lntAddTrace to highlight shapes in layout.

Shapes at cellview are no problem

Shapes in subcells need a little work around to highlight

I use the dbGetTrueOverlaps to get the shape path but it is not compatible with the lntAddTrace function. I have to create a hierarchy path in the format the geGetInstHierPath outputs.

Is there a simpler way to get the shape Id and hierarchy path than having to do this work around?

Ex:
dbGetTrueOverlaps(cev() enterBox() '("M2" "drawing") 0:32 nil)

( (db:0x4ee48edc (db:0xacc093c7 db:0x71174478) ) )
objId = db:0x71174478
modify output
hp = ( (db:0x4ee48edc 0 0 0) (db:0xacc093c7 0 0 0) )

lntAddTrace(cw objId ?hierPath hp)
