Unable to update instance parameter modelDisp using setof in SKILL

Hi all,
I'm trying to update the instance parameter modelDisp based on the cellName in my layout using SKILL. Initially, I tried this:
procedure(replaceCellNamestest()
  cvid = geGetEditCellView()
  setof(y cvid~>instances (y~>cellName == "pp"))~>modelDisp = "PCH"
  setof(y cvid~>instances (y~>cellName == "nn"))~>modelDisp = "NCH"
)
This returns ("NCH" "NCH") in the CIW, but it doesn't actually update the modelDisp parameter on the instances. I expected it to assign "PCH" to instances with cellName == "pp" and "NCH" to those with cellName == "nn", but the changes aren't reflected in the layout.
Can someone help me understand why this isn't working and suggest the correct way to implement this?
Thanks in advance!

    It's a bit hard to tell with the scribbled out screenshot, but it looks to me as if the code you have would have updated that parameter OK. Rather than using Edit Properties, try selecting the instance and using geQuerySelSet() which will show the properties directly rather than having CDF involved. Or you could try car(geGetSelSet())~>modelDisp

    My guess is that the component has CDF with a formInitProc which is changing modelDisp when the form is launched - maybe dependent upon other parameters. Again, hard to be certain without more info (on the PDK you're using, for example).
