Issues with unpacking forum attachments

archive
archive over 18 years ago

Hi all,

Some folks have reported, and I certainly confirm, issues with opening uploaded attachments in the forum:

On Windows, using Winzip may produce a "Trailing garbage" error.
On Linux, gunzip/tar may produce the following message:

gzip: stdin: unexpected end of file
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

In either case attachments can be downloaded and uncompressed ok - you
can disregard the error message which appears to be due to an extra byte being added to the end of the uploads.

The issue has been reported and should be resolved soon.

If anyone is seeing additional problems, please reply to this post!

Cheers,

stelix
