RGM Register Coverage in ICCR

I am specifying coverage in my ip-xact file. When I generate my register model using RGM is see the covergroups adn their associated sample funtion calls in the update functions but when I specify -coverage U with irun and load the coverage database into iccr I see nothing. What am I doing wrong?
