ask one question about the location of the reserve bit in register

hi ,all

 

from now on,i 've seen many locations in the register definition about reserve bits,some set the reserve bit high,others low,and also i've seen the reserve bits in register location were segmental,not place them together ,,,,i've no idea about why? are there some reasons to explain those phenomen??

i'm looking forward to answers....
