PCell Designer Reference Document

Hello,

Where can I find a user's guide or reference document for PCell Designer? Several of my colleagues and I are beginning to use the tool extensively but do not have any formal documentation.

The Reference Guide has been actively developed over the last year, and is very close to being published. There's just one final formatting issue to resolve and then it will be on support.cadence.com

The User Guide is under development and is expected within the next few months.

In the meantime there is a video channel with 10 videos (more to be added soon) - here's a link to one of them (you can navigate to the others on the right side): Creating a Simple MOSFET with PCell Designer and there's also two Rapid Adoption Kits on the support site too.

Hi Andrew,

Any updates on the Reference Guide? I periodically check support.cadence.com and have not yet seen the guide but maybe I am not filtering correctly?

It's still close to being published - we managed to fix one formatting issue, only to find another one related to text size in one of the chapters being too small. Hopefully this can be resolved in the next few days.

Hi, any updates on the Reference Guide? If not, are there any reference to learn more about the table feature under the Control flow?

Yes. It was published a week or so ago. Log onto http://support.cadence.com and then go to Resources→Product Manuals and then in the Custom IC Design click on the Cadence PCell Designer (PCD2.5) link. You'll see the reference manual.
