sp simulation with old dc operating point

archive
archive over 16 years ago

Hi,

I would like to match the input of  LNA. There is dc blocking at the input, so each time, the dc is the same, only mathcing component change for S11. How can I skip the dc part of the simulation to speed up the sp simulation.

regards

I believe the 2 analysis parameters you want to specify are:

    1. restart=no // to force re-use of the previous DC solution if if the conditions have changed

    2. prevvoppoint=yes // reuse the DC solution from a previous analysis (if available)

These parameters can both be set from the spectre simulation interface as part of the SP-analysis setup.

You also may try performing a component parameter sweep. This is assuming you are sweeping a design variable and that variable is controlling the parameter value of the matching component. This should also speed things up.

The last message by TeddyNguyen contains a hidden link to simulationcredit1.com. Please remove this message. This guy has been spamming lots of forums in this way, probably in order to improve his Google ranking.
