simulating transmission lines in filters

This is my first day with this type of program and using the student version.  I can not find where to go to tell the program where the input or output ports are located or how to tell it the length and impedance of the transmission lines.

Where do I look to get this information.  I know there has to be a manual but I cannot find it.

Given that Cadence is a big company which offers a very large number of software products, it would really help if you could at least say which software you're using (what is it called) and which version, and which computing platform you're running on. All of this could help any of us who respond here to point you in the right direction (or even move your post to the right forum if this is the wrong one).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
