PLL Macro model Wizard

Hi! I am new to this so please bear with me, I am trying to calculate jitter from phase noise for a simple ring oscillator using PSS and Pnoise but I also wanted to compare the achieved results with the results one get from transient simulation as mentioned in document below. www.cadence.com/.../calculating-large-signal-phase-noise-using-transient-noise-analysis.aspx My question is that in ADE -> Tools-> RF-> Wizards -> I only get two options ACPR & LSSP, and not the PLL option as mentioned in point 3 of this document. Is there an environment variable that needs to be set for this or some other way? I am using Cadence 6.1.4 with MMSIM 10.1.

The feature was end-of-lifed long ago. Support was removed from the ADE window in IC616 ISR2, and the documentation was removed in MMSIM12.1. There is no support for it by R&D or from Cadence.

It was an experimental feature that worked well enough for simple PLLs, but was not really viable for modern PLL architectures and we decided that the level of investment needed to make it scalable for modern designs was not justifiable given the level of interest in the capability.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
