How to simulate noise figure in a dual-conversion receiver?

Hi,

I have a dual-conversion receiver whose input frequency frf is 2550MHz ,the first LO frequency flo1 is 2760MHz, the second LO frequency flo2 is 225MHz, and the output frequency fout is 15MHz. The receiver has an LNA and two mixers. I want to simulate the noise figure of this receiver using PSS+Pnoise.

After reading the disussion here http://www.designers-guide.org/Forum/YaBB.pl?num=1208883935  it seems that I have to set rf input port to dc, the beat frequency to 15MHz, the number of harmonics to 0, and maxacfreq to 13.8GHz (5*2.76GHz) in PSS. In Pnoise I set the sweeptype to absolute, maxsideband to 920 (2760*5=15*184*5), and reference side-band to 169 (2550=15+169*15). With this large number of harmonics, the simulator fails to finish the simulation. An error message shows "insufficient memory" and the simulator teminates. So is my setting correct for the simulation of the dual-conversion receiver? or is there any other way to simulate the NF correctly and efficiently?

    You will almost certainly be better off using qpss/qpnoise (or hb/hbnoise) with harmonic balance, setting a suitable number of harmonics on each of the two LO frequencies.
