inductor q factor simulation?

hwangjongil

I want Q factor smulation of inductor .

 but I can't do s parameter simulation.

I progressed to pick "spectreS " in analog design environment.

when i simulated inductor, i can't select s parameter.. in direct plot ..

 what is problem?

First of all, why are you using "spectreS"? It was replaced by the "spectre" interface in IC443, which came out something like 12 years ago. It is no longer available in IC61.

However, I just tried this in IC5141, placing a couple of port components (e.g. the old "psin" component; don't think "port" is supported for spectreS), setting up an sp simulation, and then I could plot the s-parameters etc on the direct plot form.

I suggest you read the Forum Guidelines - you didn't give any information about any errors, or precisely what you did - or even which version you're using. So it's very hard for anyone to help.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
