error in creating netlist

I followed the tutorial in the link below about creating netlist file for hspice simulation.

www.ece.rice.edu/.../netlist.html

I got two problems. Hope you could help.

1. I don't see "extracted" view at all as from step 3 in the link.
2. However, I omitted that step and open "schematic" view and followed all remained steps.
Finally, I ran ac simulation. However, I got the error below.

This is telling you how to create an hspice netlist in an obsolete version of the software using an even more obsolete interface (hspiceS was replaced more than 10 years ago by the hspiceD direct interface). The extracted view is covered under the previous tutorial. I'm guessing that the hspice.mdl complaint is related to a model file or include file from the Setup->Model Path or Setup->Simulation Files form. Either that or you have some ".m" files referencing this hspice.mdl file.

Probably best to contact the authors of the tutorial.

    Andrew.
