Spectre and Simulink cosimulation

Hi,

I would like to include a Cadence simulation in my simulink system-level simulations.

However, Cadence runs on a centralized CAD server whereas MATLAB/Simulink on my own machine.

I can successfully instantiate/configure the "SpectreRF Engine" block in Simulink but there is no option for the simulation host (only for the port).

How can I configure the host?

On the internet, I just found multiple references stating that the sim host can run on a different machine (which makes much sense) but no information how to configure it.

Thanks!

Oh, I just found that the setup is supposed to be the other way round: Simulink is the server and Cadence the client which connects to.

That's a little bit counter-intuitive in my opinion because usually the Cadence usually runs on a simulation host and now I need to open a port in the firewall on a client system.

Anyways, it works and I am very happy.

Hi mate. I need to configure exactly how you described. My cadence is also running on a centOS server. Can you please let me know how to configure it? I know i'm 4 years late but would be a great help!
