PSS and HB find wrong frequency as first harmonic

Hi,

I use PSS and HB to simulate a LCVCO ( initial condition applied from convergence aid):

from result--direct plot form: 1st harmonic is 2.36G:

However, 2nd harmonic have the highest amplitude:

may I know the reason?

tnx

Perhaps you have a divide by 2 somewhere in your circuit? The oscillator output itself may be at 4.73GHz, but the analysis needs to set the fundamental to be half that if it needs to represent the subharmonics too.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
