same output from two PRBS sources

hi

I am using two prbs sources in my simulation. In my circuit ,i want to have same random sequence generation from both sources. how to configure in this situation (i  do  not want to distribute the source o/p as i will have matching issue)?

Thanks

It should do this anyway by default (assuming you have the same "Seed" parameter for both sources). If using the Random Jitter capability, that too also would need the same RJ(seed) too.

Not sure which version of the IC tools and MMSIM (spectre) you're using? Perhaps you're using something very old? Can you show the netlist lines from the input.scs with the prbs sources so I can see what settings you have?

I don't understand what the "distribute the source o/p as I will have matching issue" means - unless you mean not connecting a single source to multiple places as then they would be coupled somehow? You could solve that by using vcvs (voltage controlled voltage source) to buffer the source output and isolate all the places you need to connect the source to.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
