Attach parameter value to exported S2P file name

Hi, I wish to run a set a simulations in Maestro Assembler and to save their output in S2P format.

In the Spectre manual I found that I could use %P to attach the (univocal) process ID. It works but it is not very informative.

If possible I would rather use the swept variable value (e.g. the temperature).

Is there a way to achieve this?

Regards,

Dan

    Hi Dan,

No matter what I do here to workaround this, it doesn't work properly. I created variables (either design variables or global variables) as follows:

    myTemp: -40 80 120
    temperature: VAR("myTemp")
    fileName: sprintf(nil "%L" sprintf(nil "file%L.s2p" VAR("theTemp")))

then in the output file for the sp analysis I used VAR("fileName")

This almost works, except it fails for the -40 value of temperature (it completely works if all values are positive, for some reason). I have to use an indirect sweep because VAR("temp" or VAR("temperature") does not work in the expression. The extra sprintf is to ensure that the file has quotation marks.

So not really sure why this doesn't work - I would suggest you contact customer support for this to follow up (please tell the application engineer what I'd tried here). I was using IC618 ISR8.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hi Andrew,

thank you for providing this solution.

For now as a workaround I will use the temperature in Kelvin, and use another variable myTempC to set the simulator temperature in C.

    Best regards,

    Dan
