Hello, I have a problem with a certain type of transistor,my hyrarchy has a lot components an sub components and visually inspecting them is very hard.

is there a way like in other cadence layout viewer tools , to enter the name of the component or a NET somewhere and it will focus on it visualy or give the hyrarchy path to it?

Thanks.

There are several ways of doing this. Two of the most obvious are either to use:

    1. WIndow->Assistants->Search and click the red triangle next to the type-in box so that it expands, and set "From Within" to be "Current Hierarchy". Then enter the component name in the search box. This will then match the instances (amongst other things) and show you the "Owner" cellView. You can use right mouse button to open the owner in a new tab, and then which you click on the instances in the result list, they will be highlighted in the schematic.
    2. Edit->Find. Search for a matching cellName and set the search scope to be Hierarchy. You can use List All to see them and use next and previous to visit each one.

    Andrew.
