How to plot Noise Modulating Function for VCOs in Cadence Virtuoso?

Hello,

I would like to plot the the Noise Modulating Function (NMF) for the oscillating nodes in any VCO. What are the steps for the same?

Regards,

I've not seen the term "noise modulation function" used in the literature. Do you mean the impulse sensitivity function (ISF) or its equivalent ppv? Or perhaps are you referring to the control voltage modulation function?

NMF multiplied by ISF gives the effective ISF of the oscillating node.

It is present in literature. You can find it here: "A noise shifting differential colpitts vco", Roberto Aparicio & Ali Hajimiri.
