OrCAD X Academic License Stuck in "License Request Queued" After Reinstallation

Hi everyone,

I have a six-month OrCAD X Professional academic license that was working correctly on my laptop a few months ago. The application eventually stopped working, so I reinstalled it, but I am still unable to use OrCAD Capture.

My Cadence Entitlement Management System shows my product entitlement as Active, but my registered device remains at "License Request Queued", and the last validated date is shown as NA.

When I launch OrCAD Capture or Capture CIS, I receive error ORCOMM-12006, stating that the installation is configured for Single User License mode and that the current user is not registered for OrCAD Capture or the registration has expired. I also receive internal error -2120.

When I run the installer to update the license, it retries approximately 15 times and then finishes without resolving the issue. The installer does not prompt me to sign in to my Cadence account; it goes directly to the terms and conditions and then offers options to update the license or reinstall the software.

I have already reinstalled OrCAD, but the device status remains queued and the same errors persist.

Has anyone encountered this issue with an academic entitlement? Is there a way to restore the Single User License registration, or does Cadence need to resolve the pending device request?

Thanks for your help.
