DFA circle not working when placing part

Hi,

I watched the Presto tutorial video "youtu.be/NgRmfMVIZAo it explains how to setup the DFA constraints to assist with the placement by displaying a circle when two parts are too close from each other. It is an Allegro only feature which is included in Presto Pro license but not in Orcad Pro license.

My problem is that I cannot get it to work on my workstation. If I place parts too close from each other, the DFA circle never appears but I do get a DRC error about DFA package to package error. I guess my DFA rules are set correctly. I tried turning on all the layers, changing the grids, but no improvement. In the video, I noticed that the DFA circles seem to latch on assembly outline instead of the DFA_bound. I tried adding a filled rectangle on the component assembly_top, but it did not help. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Thanks

I found the problem, it is a bug in Presto 23.1 P003. The feature works perfectly if I try it in Presto 23.1 P001. But I was wrong about the assembly_top layer, it is not used. The DFA circles only use the DFA_BOUND layer.
