The shape which is having the class and subclass as Board Geometry and Silkscreen top is been in the Normal 3D Canvas window but not in the Presto 3D canvas window (New 3D engine)

Hi Community,

I am currently working on a PCB board file in which I have added a shape with the class set to Board Geometry and the subclass to Silkscreen Top. While reviewing the design, I encountered an inconsistency between the two 3D visualization tools.

The shape is not visible in the Legacy 3D Canvas, even after verifying and adjusting the visibility settings. However, when I switch to the Presto 3D Canvas, the shape appears correctly after enabling the appropriate visibility options.

Could anyone help me understand why this behavior is occurring? Additionally, I would appreciate it if someone could share the recommended steps to ensure that such shapes are consistently visible in both the Legacy and Presto 3D Canvas views.

Looking forward to your guidance.

Regards,

Rohit Rohan

Hello RohitRohan  , which version you are using for legacy 3D Canvas? It is working fine for me in 24.1 in 3D and 3DX both engines.

    Hi Mahimag,

I am currently using Allegro version 24.1 with hotfix S003.

For your reference, we have observed the issue only in one particular PCB board so far. Other designs do not seem to exhibit the same behavior.

    Regards,

    Rohit Rohan

Hi RohitRohan , in this case we might need to have a look at the database. I will contact you through separate channel for this.
