Boxes on Power Nets

anowack

Hi there,

I'm curious why are the net connections represented by boxes for pins connected to power related nets, as shown in this figure?

It's a bit annoying, as the decoupling capacitor on the bottom doesn't show the connection between the capacitor pin and the pin on the IC. Is there a setting from OrCAD Capture that is causing this, or something I can change within presto to have the power nets displayed like the others?

Thanks

- Aaron

Hi anowack , Unconnected power or ground pins in the net will be displayed by a boxed X figure rather than a rat to the unconnected pins. The boxed-X display is controlled by the settings in the Display – Show Rats and Display – Blank Rats commands and in the Display settings of the Color and Visibility dialog box. You can change the way the ratsnest is displayed by changing the RATSNEST_SCHEDULE property value to MIN_DAISY_CHAIN or STAR.
