Why can't I install the free Orcad Viewer with my regular Orcad software?

I have a license of Orcad X and wanted to have more than one pcb open at the same time.  This doesn't seem possible with Orcad and Presto.  With Altium, I can open up as many pcbs within the tool and go from one to another without issues with a single license.  Have a bunch of them open on different monitors, etc.  No big deal.

I can't seem to open more than one pcb design in Presto.  Can't seem to open more than one Presto instance at a time... so I figured I'd install the viewer.

The viewer won't let me install itself because I have Orcad on my machine.

Is there a way to view more than 1 pcb at a time with Orcad software?

Any suggestions?  Thanks,

Danny

    Hi Danny,

If you already have the tool installed, the viewer should be in your installation folder. You can find it in %CDSROOT%\tools\bin\allegro_free_viewer.exe
