Can we not turn off package to package spacing in Orcad X or Presto??

Seems like a dead simple thing here, but there is not "off" button for regular package to package spacings.  Why?  I can set up special rules for spacing in my DFA section which I have for my bed of nails test points, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to turn off regular package to package spacing.

This should be a feature that's baked into the tool.  I shouldn't have to waive them all off.

Anyone have any clue how to just turn off regular package to package spacings on a temp basis?  It'd throw a screen shot or two, but this forum seems to be locked up tight for just about anything Slight smile

    Hi DG202504226528,

I understand you want to temporarily disable the existing package to packager spacing DRC and re-enable it as needed.

To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Go to Tools > Constrain Manager.
    2. In Constrain Manager, navigate to Analyze > Analysis Mode.
    3. Under Design for Assembly, select 'Pkg To Pkg Spacing'.
    4. In the window that appears, locate 'Package to Package spacing' and check the box in the 'Off' column to disable it.

Thanks, but that's not it.  All this does is turn off the special rules for the test points I set up.  I'm still getting "Package to Package Spacing" errors.

I wanted to turn off the rule that checks "place bound to place bound" within the parts.  There doesn't seem to be an off button for that.

I'm giving up on this and just accepting the fact that Presto might be just useful for simple 2 layer boards and that's about it :(
