Question about shield

I am new in 16.2, and think constraint driven design is the way to go. I found there is " shield" under CM-properties-Net-general properties-Shield(shield/type). did anyone use this function? does means the shielding trace will be add in automatically? how it works?

Need help here, and more question to be posted. Thanks

This attribute is used to control the Allegro PCB Router. It is used only in the autorouter environment.
