laptop with built in graphic card

I am getting a new laptop and want to know if the built in Intel integrated Graphics card would be good enough to run APD and PCB editor or I have to get something with a better graphic card?  Help please

  • "good enough" is subjective, performance of such a machine might, or might not, be acceptable to any specific user. The recommended harware configuration is a dedicated graphics card with it's own memory but the "motherboard" graphics will likely work and may be acceptable. One thing to consider with a notebook / laptop, is that there is limited scope for reconfiguration. Unlike a desktop machine, it's pretty much impossible to retrofit higher performance peripherals. If you can, you might want to see if you can try out the hardware with a demo installation of the software and see if it works OK for you, otherwise, the only safe bet will be dedicated graphics, especially if you are going to attach a large secondary display to do "real work".
