PowerSI - Extrapolation difference in Adaptive Frequency Sweep

We are simulating the power impedance of critical power nets using PowerSI. The port impedance is set at 0.1ohm. The frequency sweep used is from 0 to 3GHz, ADAPTIVE SWEEP.

In adaptive sweep the result at lower frequency are obtained by extrapolation. In the simulation we run, we get some results with good extrapolation. In some random cases we get not so smooth, discrete values at lower frequency.

Which parameter decides this extrapolation? Why there is difference in result between 2 simulation run on the same board?
