All vias are not displayed in 3D canvas whereas they are shown in 3D. The design layout is made by Allegro Package Designer+.
This is 4-layer(1-2-1) design, and each padstack is defined as "micro-via" and BB via.
Appricated any advices or tips to show them properly. Thank you!
If none of the vias are visible in the 3D canvas, it could be that the Vias option is not selected in the 3D Canvas Filter dialog box. Make sure all options are checked. You can take a look at the below article.
This is the contents of the article:
When I open my design in the 3D canvas, I cannot see clines and vias. Is there a setting I need to enable?
In this case, the design has a cutout. Cutouts effectively remove clines and vias. The cutout here is nearly as large as the entire board, which is why you are not seeing clines and vias in the 3D canvas.
You can view the cutout from Display > Color/ Visibility > Geometry > Board Geometry.
Delete the cutout from the board to be able to view clines and vias in the 3D canvas.
Note: Another reason for the missing objects from the 3D canvas might be that the options are not selected in the 3D Canvas Filter dialog box. Make sure all options are checked.
This is from 17.4 version
This is from version 17.2
@Daeyoung Kim can you provide an update on this? Is the issue resolved?
Negetive! I already checked all the entities to show in 3D canvas as you can see below, but still no vias are visible.
The funny thing is that vias are shown when I only selected Outer Layers
Are there any other suggestions or tips?
@Daeyoung Kim, since debugging this issue requires data exchange, we will contact you through a different channel.
