How is APD different from SiP Layout?

Hi, I'm currently using APD and would like to know how APD is different from SiP Layout...

    Short answer:

    APD is primarily a single die, or multiple signal-die-stacks design tool. Granted, designers have been creating multiple die-stack designs for years in APD, but they have done so under the limitations of the layer stack editor to accurately represent and manage complex single and multiple stacks.

    SiP Layout incorporates functions to:
    -Manage Connectivity
    Save days creating a system netlist using table driven connectivity manager for multi-die designs
    -Manipulate Die Stacks
    Save hours by automatically handling pad stack changes
    Save hours by automatically handling multiple die stacks in the same design
    -Perform 3D visualization and design rule checks
    3D viewer integration with SiP saves hours over setup work required with complex die stacks in APD
    -Assembly Rule Checks
    Prevent package design respins using back-end design and assembly rules that ensure
    manufacturing-ready designs (only available in SiP)
