what is the "convert" in part window of CIS explorer

There is a "convert" radio button in part window after openning CIS explorer.

what is it about?  when can i use it?

    When you create a graphical symbol for use with Capture, or Capture CIS, you create a "Normal" view. There is also the option to create a "Convert" view, basically another graphical represenattion of exactly the same part. This can be used to create a Horizontal and Vertical resistor, for example, this allows the library designer to control where the properties are placed in each case, rather than rely on the regular part rotation behaviour.
