Annotation Fails for a heterogeneous part in a special sheet

Hi,

I have created a heterogeneous part and I am using two of them in some of sheets in a design. Although I have used a uniqe part in two sheet, one of them fails in Annotation. I see below error message:

ERROR(ORCAP-1376): Cannot perform annotation of heterogeneous part 'U?C(Value AD9914) at location (2.80, 1.00) on page 07- DDS2 Power & CAPs', part has not been uniquely grouped (using a common User Property with differing Values) or the device designation has not been chosen

Thanks,

Hossein

You need to add a group property to each part so that Capture knows which parts are grouped together. Look at:- orcad.co.uk/.../Annotating_Multi_section_parts.pdf

Thank you so much. I had not used two or more Heterogeneous parts in a design and that's why I couldn't realize the problem. I just managed to solve the issue by the second option. I mean I ran tcl\tk application Dashboard and set that property.

Here it is. Put this in your %HOME%\cdssetup\OrCAD_Capture\tclscripts\capAutoLoad folder then restart the tools.5482.capCBWareAddHeteroProp.zip
