capture update cache vs replace cache

Hello,

In Capture 17.2, I changed in the library part X. I like to push the change library -> schematic.

In the design tree at design cache for part X, I right click and see update cache and replace cache.

What are the differences?

Do they all go in the direction library -> schematic?

Fundamentally, Update Cache uses the "library path" in the Design Cache, Replace Cache allows "any" part and part to be selected.

    Hello,

Thanks for your response. I think I get what you are saying for update cache.  I am still a bit unclear on the replace cache.

Replace Cache allows another OLB file / Part to be selected as the "replacement" part, Update Cache only "updates" the part with the original library part name from the original library path.
