Placing from Capture 17.4-010

Hello,

I tried to place components from Capture in to the Orcad PCB Designer, but it does't work. I have activate the interactive option. It brings an error :

Error: No Placement Grid was found
ERROR(SPMHGE-458): Error see the message(s) above.

What I should do for the placing from capture?

Thank you

    Hello,
in fact I want to place the components from capture.  This video (resources.orcad.com/.../orcad-pcb-editor-tutorial-05-place-components) shows how to do that.
In first the intertool communication is activated. Second Place->Interactive., which enables the communication between Capture and PCB editor. But this step doesn't work. The message "Error see the logfiles" appears. In the log file is the error Error: No Placement Grid was found ERROR(SPMHGE-458).

    Best regards

So go add the placement grid in the board first and it should work.

    Hello,

I have a similar problem. I am trying to place components as shown in the video https://www.ema-eda.com/resources/library/orcad-pcb-editor-tutorial-05-place-components .  I followed all the guidelines, I am not getting any error, but just can't place components. When I click on the components in OrCAD Capture CIS, it gets selected in Place manual dialog box (from PCB editor). I have marked red in the attached screenshot. But then I cannot place it in the PCB editor. I don't understand what's the problem. Could you please help me solving it?

    Thanks in advance

    Sumukh
