Scaling problem in Cadence

Firas Abdel Ghani
Firas Abdel Ghani over 4 years ago

Hello,

I'm using OrCad 16.5 and I tried to copy a block from one project to another and I encountered a problem where the pin names inside the new project intersected with each others.

I don't want to create this block again, and I wonder what is causing this problem? is it font issue? scaling? I'm not sure.

I'd appreciate any kind of help.

Thanks

Hi this looks to me that your pin name and pin number are using a different size font, the copy looks to have a bold font.

It could be that your new design sheet is using a different font and or the old one was changed to accommodate the symbol.

Anyway no need to re create what you have. In capture go to the design project  tree and right click on your design name and choose "Design Properties". The properties window will open. click on the Schematic design tab and then click Design Properties.

A window will open showing you the Fonts. Normally in Capture the default font is Ariel 7 for everything. Check and see if that is the font used for your pin names and numbers. You can also change the fonts from that panel if you wish.

    All the best.
