OrCAD Capture - Version 17.4-2019-S016-Issue Export - PDF

Hi,

I am having issue to export PDF file and have download ghostscript exe as well.

Path I am following as bellow File -> Export -> PDF -> ok.

It is not generating PDF files, except it generates following files.

CapMark.ps

CapOutput.ps

CapPropMark.ps

Can someone help to resolve this issue. Thank you in advance.

Can you distill a PDF from other programs to Adobe as the printer device, or edit a PDF with the reader?

I had problems with it not exporting when my Acrobat annual license expired and I switched to a personal Adobe account. Cleared up the next day after complaining at Adobe.

The Cadence pdf export will verify the distiller executable is there. But, I can't expect an app to know if the Acrobat Distiller is licensed correctly.

Thank you RFinley. Yes you are right Since I have new machine setup for 17.4, I have to add Adobe Acrobat DC.

I will ask IT team to install and will let you know.

Hi RFinley,

I have same issue with 17.4. I am using Adobe Reader free version. I don't know how to distill PDF. Any help?

Adobe Reader won't be able to distill or mark up a PDF. That is a licensed option from Adobe.

You could try Ghostscript. It's free. Parsys in the UK, an Orcad VAR, has a youtube video.
