Enable intertool communication from Capture to PCB Designer, but disable it from PCB Designer to Capture

In 17.4, is there a way to enable intertool communication from Capture to PCB Designer, but disable it from PCB Designer to Capture? I.e. when I click a component in Capture, that component is selected in PCB Designer, but when I select a component in PCB Designer, nothing happens in Capture? I've found that when I select a power or ground net (or any similarly large net) in PCB Designer, PCB Designer will freeze up for a minute while Capture jumps around to all the instances of that net and highlights it. It's annoying enough that it disrupts my workflow and I typically end up minimizing the Capture window to avoid the issue, although I would prefer to keep it open to reference while doing layouts.

Alternatively, is there a way to disable intertool communication for specific nets? That would also solve the issue.

Thanks

In Capture look at Options - Extended Preferences - Designs and Libraries and make sure that Enable Global Net ITC is not enabled. That should help on large designs and global nets (like GND, 5V).
