Automating PDF Export

Is anyone aware of a script that can automate the PDF Export process? I would like to be able to do this for a project without having to click through the dialog boxes.

It seems like Chapter 14 (Capture Communication Server) of the OrCAD Capture Tcl/Tk Extensions PDF may explain the groundwork for how one could go about doing this.

Hi Aaron. Automate in what sense? Can you be a bit more specific?

    Hi Juan,

To summarize my goal, I'd like to have a process where whenever we check in schematic updates to our VCS that a new PDF would be generated. That way the engineer doesn't have to remember or spend time on it.

In an ideal world, I'd be able to generate a PDF for a given project (*.OPJ) with from the command line. Something like: capture.exe exportPdf <a bunch of arguments>.

I see that `tools\capture\tclscripts\capPDFExport\tcl\capPdfUtil.tcl` exists, but it was not apparent to me how to make use of it without the rest of the application running.

As a last resort, I guess I'd have to look into automating GUI interactions via something like an AutoHotKey script.

    Hope that helps.
