ERROR (SPDWSRV-000503): Authentication failed. Provide the correct user name and password.

I am trying to use the search provider function of the cadence. When I logged in with the credential of cadence and ultra library, it is casting errors saying " ERROR (SPDWSRV-000503): Authentication failed. Provide the correct user name and password". The main point is, I can log in to the respective website using the same credential i am using in the search provider, but I can't log in. I am using the cadence version of 17.4.

I believe the password and user name are stored in the capture.ini file. Find this file (look at the first line in the session log for the location) then close capture, open this location in a windows file explorer and rename the capture.ini file to _old. Then restart the tools and try again.

Steve's recommendation resets the local SQL database connection to CIS.

This won't be the same credentials as your UltraLibrarian account.

If you have CIP, the username connecting Orcad/CIS to the CIS database would be CIP_E_CIS_User.  Refer to your documentation for the password.

Were you able to get ahold of UltraLibrarian or EMA?

You could also try going back one level and rename the cdssetup folder to cdssetup_old and then restart. If that doesn't help check to make sure you have an active support contract with Cadence / Channel Partner. Because you use the Cadence login this may expire if you do not have a valid maintenance contract.

Thank you so much stev, i can log in now. but I have changed a couple of things, like setting my timestamp to automatic and changing cdssetup folder and capture.ini to _old. Thank you, everyone for the help.
