2 names on the same net

Good morning,

For a project, I have a force and a sense line that are connected to the same point. Is there a way in OrCAD Capture to differentiate these two lines (different names), even if they are technically on the same net ? It would be easier to differentiate them in the layout then.

Thanks in advance,

Loïc

    Hello,

Thanks a lot for the explanation.

I manage to short the 2 nets in OrCAD Capture but in OrCCAD PCB it doesn't behave like I would like :

I'd like the AVSS pad to be connected to the AVSS plane, but not the AVSS_S pad (sense line). How can I do that ?

don't remember exactly, I'll clarify tomorrow at work, but it seems that the pad can set the No_Shape_Connect property or something like that, I don't remember from memory. Or check the pad property to see if a solid fill type is set for shape, thermal connection type.

Take a look at PCB Editor Tips and Tricks (parallel-systems.co.uk) page 30 has a void_same_net methid which can be used for sense lines.

Thank you very much, the No_Shape_Connect property seems to work perfectly !

Thanks, it's an interesting solution but I also like to have to different names to see directly where is the sense line.
