Schematic and layout not compatible

LSAUGE

Hello,

I'm using Capture CIS 17.4 together with PCB editor 17.4. When updating the layout from the schematic, I get the following warning: "Cannot determine connectivity difference because the schematic and layout are not compatible for the constraint-enabled flow. Click 'Sync' to synchronise the layout with the schematic for the constraint flow."

If I click 'Sync', my layout is indeed updated but I wonder why I cannot see the changes.

Thank you and have a nice day.

Loïc

This warning message appears because the layout file is not yet CM-enabled.
Once you click sync, after successful update, the Constraint Difference Report window appears indicating the status of the transferred constraints.
After that you may want to select PCB -> Update Schematic again to keep both files in sync.
Open constraint manager and see if you see the constraints there.
