ERROR (ORCIS-6233) with MySQL Database

I am getting the following error with MySQL version 8. From old postings, others have been successful in resolving this issue with the ANSI ODBC driver. I have tried 32/64-bit of MYSQL ODBC8.0 ANSI Driver without success.

This seems to be working fine in my environment but one difference is that all of the field types I have, apart from Price, are defined as TEXT, rather than a fixed length VARCHAR. I suspect that everything will work as expected once the VARCHAR field types are changed to TEXT.
