Import third-party designs to OrCAD Capture

OrCAD Capture is one of the most popular schematic design tools. It is easy to use and offers powerful capabilities to help you design your circuits. It has seamless integration with the PSpice simulator for circuit simulations and with Allegro PCB Editor for PCB layouts.

If you are using any other schematic design tool and would want to switch to Capture, it is easier than ever now. Capture offers direct import from Altium and Eagle now.

For other formats, you can use the EDIF 200 route. Capture can import EDIF 200 format, which you can create from most of the schematic design tools out there.

You can export Zuken to EDIF 200 and then import the EDIF file in Capture.

I think Cadence does not have any translator yet to support Zuken to PCB Editor translation. I remember earlier, 3rd party translators from www.acae.com or www.elgris.com were used to support this.

May be my question sound little weird but can we trust third party converting files and how about the accuracy of these ? I know there cannot be 100% translation but upto what extent we can trust the translated files are correct.

Elgris provides 100% netlist guarantee on the translations they do.

There are other verifications done to guarantee high quality translations. Contact a third party like Elgris and ask what are the guarantees they provide.
