Editing selective objects on a page

Do you know about the Selection Filter in OrCAD Capture? If yes, you would know how helpful it is when you are trying to edit selective object types on a page. If not, it’s worth knowing.

In a schematic page with hundreds of components and thousands of pins and nets, how do you select all the ports? Or how do you select everything on a page except the wires? You can do so using the Selection Filter.

Right-click in an empty area of a page and select Selection Filter to get the above dialog and do the required selections. Now, dragging your mouse pointer on the entire page will only select the objects checked above. You can edit the properties of the selected objects, mirror them, move them, or delete them. Do right-click to explore the available options.
