22.1 File management

Hi,

With the new update 22.1 I get a folder generated when I open projects called GPUCache, is this really necessary file to have? Can I turn off the generation of that file or at least control where its created?

Also wondering if there is a way to turn of the Pspice folder created with every project? Since I do not use PSpice.

Regards,

Filip

I doubt if any folder named GPUCache gets created while opening any project.
Check what are the contents of the folder, i have never seen such folder getting created while opening a project.

Regarding pspice folder, if you have not selected Enable PSpice simulation option while creating a new project, this folder will automatically go away once you close the project in capture, if you have selected Enable pspcie simulation option, it will remain there.

    Hi AyushD,

    Thank for the answer!

The GPUCache contains 4 data files and a index file but I dont know what they contain. It looks like this:

It started happening after 22.1 upgrade. My guess is that its something that's normally created in a temporary folder somewhere hidden but I have accidentally managed to change that to the project folder.
