RefDes Reset on Link to Database Part in Capture CIS

In Capture CIS sometimes when I link a database part the refdes resets. What causes this?

Please check the settings present in Options menu> CIS Preference> Extended CIS Linking> Select Preserve Reference Designator option and try.
