OrCAD 17.4 Placing a toolbar at the left side instead of top or right side

Hi all,

currently, still running OrCAD 16.6 and working just fine.

But at the moment, I 'am trying the 17.4 version.

The first issue, I stumbled upon was, that it seems, that Cadence removed the option to dock a toolbar at the left side of the window. An option, 16.6 provided.

In addition, this is a mandatory feature form me as I 'am lefthanded, running my mouse with the left hand.

This means, having the tollbars at the right side of the window is a no no!

Here my toolbar in 16.6:

Am I missing something here?

Best regards,

Frank

17.4 also allows you to dock the toolbar on either side. Below is the screenshot from my 17.4 release. Just click on the dotted line of the toolbar and drag it to the other side.

Try installing the latest hotfix if not already. It works fine.

    Hi Ayush,

Thanks for your reply. For some reason, I had to shrink the application window to make it happen.
With a maximized window, it did not work, which puzzled me, asking here. Slight smile

    Therefore case closed. Thumbsup

So, if anyone has the same issue, try to exit the maximized view and try again. It worked for me.

    Best regards,

    Frank
