OrCAD - Tip of the week: Copying Parts from Design Cache to a New Library

We can easily copy parts from the design cache to a new library very quickly. This is especially useful if you have modified parts at schematic level and want a backup of these parts.

To save a design cache part in a library perform the following steps:

  1. In the Project manager expand Design Cache, select required parts by holding a CTRL key > Right click > Copy.

2. Select the library in the Project Manager > Right Click >  Paste.

  1. The selected Parts have copied to the library.

Hope all of you have been using this feature.

Regards,

Yugandhar
