Creating custom refdes

Hi,

I'm trying to create custom refdes on the OrCAD schematic. I've reset the part references all to ? but I don't understand how to create a range of numbers I can use for example, I want one sheet to have ref des range of 100-199 and another sheet to only have refdes range of 200-299 but I'm not sure how to do this. Please could you help me?

Thanks

    Hi,

You can achieve this from the annotation window which can be opened using Tools menu> Annotation. Select Refdes control option as shown below

In right side, you can do the annotation page wise by providing the ranges.

    Regards,

    Akshay

One follow-up question regarding refdes control required option: what if I have a 3-section heterogenous part which is located on different pages? when I annotated the design based on your suggestion, the section 1 on page1 is U100A for example and section 2 on page2 becomes U200B, which is obviously wrong. What is the correct way of annotating such heterogenous part?
