Capture CIS 2023 opens normally once and then closes; opening it again may fail.

Open Capture CIS 2023 from the start menu and select orCAD Capture CIS. After opening, closing the software and then opening it again will fail. The software can only be opened again after multiple clicks; after repeated testing, this should be a bug in the software.

You mentioned that you can open Orcad Capture CIS 2023 (Latest one) from start menu only once and now if you close the application and try to re-open it, it won't open even after several tries.

Jon123, could you please let me know when you close capture cis first time, do you see capture.exe still running in windows task manager? If yes, could you please try killing it and then try to re-launch the application from start menu. Also, let me know when you click on application name in start menu, how much time it takes to bring the product choice window where you choose 'Orcad Capture CIS'? Is your license located on remote location?

I tried these steps which you shared here but could not see any issue with Capture CIS 2023. That's why asking it.

Sorry; this issue is indeed caused by a remote license issue.

Great! you found root cause. Is it running fine now after dealing with remote license issue?
